The Challenge Questions:
1. What are you currently working on?
I have several projects going right now! I’m prepping my sequel to Watcher for publication, I have a romantic comedy that I expect to publish next fall, and I am currently writing the final book in my Watcher fantasy series, as well as a sequel to my paranormal thriller, Hitchhiker.
For this hop, I’ll focus on Survivor, the sequel to Hitchhiker. My FBI misfits are hot on the trail of a serial killer for this one, and might even catch him if they can reign in their own quirks and short-comings long enough to focus their energies on the case.
2. How is this novel different from others in this genre?
I’ve incorporated a lot of humor into my Hitchhiker series. It’s all about the zany characters – a schizophrenic genius, a grandma medium, a fashionista empath, a conman, a veteran, and Ainsley, a teacher whose parasitic cells allow her to hitch a ride in other people’s central nervous systems. They’re fun to write because they write themselves.
3. Why do you write what you do?
I enjoy the escapism of fantasy, the creepiness of thrillers, and the laughter comedy provides. I write whatever I’m in the mood for, and it always revolves around the flawed characters I’ve had running around in my daydreams.
